Our Purpose
Ria Michaela was created to fill a gap in the childcare industry, where children are often treated as tasks to manage rather than individuals to nurture. We exist to support families with a more holistic, gentle, and nurturing approach, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and consistency.
Our Story
Ria Michaela was raised in a warm, family-centred home, surrounded by siblings and a deep sense of responsibility to care for others. From a young age, she naturally gravitated towards nurturing roles, building strong connections with children and families through empathy, patience, and understanding.
With over a decade of experience working across private households, nurseries, and with neurodiverse children, Ria has seen first-hand how meaningful childcare can transform a family. This inspired the creation of Ria Michaela, a service that brings intentional, supportive, and growth-driven childcare into modern homes.
Our Approach
We observe, assess, and create tailored plans that support milestones and long-term development. Our work focuses on each child’s unique personality, learning style, and emotional needs.
Families and professionals can book a free consultation to discuss goals, challenges, and the best path forward.
We also support families through the Household Starter Kit Guide, offering routines, systems, and guidance to create calm, structure, and balance in the home. This is ideal for families who want to establish long-term stability and peace, while still encouraging growth and joy for children.
Who We Support
We connect parents with nannies and education professionals who foster a love for children’s healthy development through play and learning, supporting children from 16 months to 16 years old.
We also support education professionals who are seeking placements in households, nurseries, schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions. In addition, we provide support for other private household staff roles.
What Makes Us Different
Traditional childcare often focuses only on supervision. Our approach is different.
We prioritise the whole child, and we match families with professionals who truly care about children’s development, wellbeing, and learning. Our placements focus on emotional safety, personalised learning, and long-term growth.
